NFL SNF New York Jets vs Pittsburgh Steelers Same Game Parlay: Harris helps Steelers pile on Jets’ woes at +1100 odds

PICKWISE

How long are we gonna have to sit around watching the New York Jets play in primetime?!?! It feels like every week! That being said, this time around I’m actually kind of looking forward to it. They are an absolute soap opera right now and it will be interesting to see how chapter 1 of the Davante Adams experiment plays out. New York acquired Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this week and he is reportedly ready to go for Sunday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Here is my Same Game Parlay for the festivities, which get underway at 8:20 pm ET on NBC. Also be sure to check out our full Jets vs Steelers predictions.

Steelers ML (+114)

Najee Harris to record 60+ rushing yards (+110)

Garrett Wilson to record 80+ receiving yards (+285)

Parlay odds: +1100

Part of the value in a Same Game Parlay, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is some of the plan here, as Pittsburgh running back Najee Harris racking up his fair share of yards would obviously work well with a win by the Steelers. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with backing New York wide receiver Garrett Wilson to have a big night at the office. But even if he does, there is no reason why the home team can’t take care of business. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Steelers ML (+114)

The Jets can bring in as many players as the want; regardless, I’m avoiding them like the plague at the moment. There has simply been too much turnover. Robert Saleh was fired following a London loss to the Minnesota Vikings, interim Jeff Ulbrich stripped offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett of his play-calling duties and gave those to Todd Downing and then New York traded for Adams. The latter transaction will help in the long run, but I’m not so sure about the immediate future. After all, Adams is just now coming back from a hamstring injury. All things considered, I don’t feel good about Aaron Rodgers’ chances of carving up a formidable Pittsburgh defense that is #8 overall and #2 in scoring. Regardless of who is QB1 for the Steelers (probably Russell Wilson), they can win outright.

Najee Harris to record 60+ rushing yards (+110)

The numbers suggest that Harris should get a sizable workload on Sunday. First, he has rushed it 96 times through 7 games; no other running back on the Steelers’ roster has gotten more than 20 carries. Second, Harris is coming off his best performance of the 2024 campaign. The Alabama product gained 104 yards on 14 attempts and scored a touchdown last weekend against the Raiders. Finally, Harris now runs into a New York defense that is outstanding against the pass (#2 in the NFL in passing defense and #4 in yards per pass attempt allowed) but mediocre against the run (124.2 yards per contest on 4.3 yards per carry). He should not have much trouble reaching the 60 mark.

Garrett Wilson to record 80+ receiving yards (+285)

Most of the talk surrounding the Jets right now is about Adams – which is exactly why I’m backing Wilson to have a huge night. This is Adams’ first game with his new team and he probably isn’t even 100 percent physically because of the hamstring strain. As such, the veteran would be a perfect decoy on Sunday. He can draw attention from Pittsburgh’s defense and let Wilson go to work. Rodgers will also want to make sure that Wilson knows his production isn’t going to dip just because Adams is on board. And it sure has been some kind of production over the past 2 weeks. During this stretch the former Ohio State standout has made 21 receptions on a whopping 33 targets for 208 yards and 2 touchdowns. Asking him to get at least 80 yards against a defense that is better against the run than the pass should not be too much.
