We’re headed to Game 5 of the NBA Playoffs, and no team has been eliminated from the second round of the playoffs! Here’s what the computer model is thinking for one of the Game 5 matchups.

Our computers have the Knicks earning a 109-106 victory over the Pacers tonight. As 2.5-point favorites at top sportsbooks, the value is on the home team entering Game 5 of the East Semifinals.

Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks

Tuesday, May 14, 2024 – 08:00 PM ET at Madison Square Garden

Knicks Finally Rested

The Knicks have the better starters—that’s not even a question. However, the Pacers have a fierce bench with so much depth, which ultimately led them to a Game 4 explosion over the Knicks.

However, because of the blowout, the Knicks’ starters watched from the bench for most of the second half. They also held a team meeting and will be backed by the New York crowd tonight in Madison Square Garden.

The rest will help the Knicks get back on track for Game 5.

Indiana Must Keep Scoring!

The Pacers are one of the league’s best offenses. They’ve had success in Madison Square Garden on the offensive side of the ball but have struggled defensively.

Indiana allowed at least 124.2 points per 100 possessions in both road games in this series. They also allowed the Knicks to shoot at least a 59.3% effective field goal percentage. Therefore, the Knicks will likely outshoot the Pacers in Game 5.

NBA Computer Pick

The AI Model isn’t flipping out about the blowout loss in Game 4. I’m not, either. Take the Knicks at -2.5 and -110 NBA odds.
