Week 11 in the 2024 NFL season features a whole host of crucial division-rivalry contests, and it begins right away with the Washington Commanders facing the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football. Philadelphia is atop the NFC East at 7-2 thanks to a 5-game winning streak, while Washington is right behind at 7-3. The Commanders had won 7 of their last 8 prior to a Week 10 setback against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Here is my Same Game Parlay for the festivities, which get underway at 8:15 pm ET on Prime Video. Also be sure to check out our full Commanders vs Eagles predictions.
Eagles -5.5 alternate spread (+115)
DeVonta Smith to score a touchdown (+220)
Saquon Barkley to record 100+ rushing yards (+118)
Parlay odds: +805
Part of the value in a Same Game Parlay, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as DeVonta Smith scoring a touchdown and Saquon Barkley racking up a whole bunch of rushing yards would obviously work well with a big win for Philadelphia. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.
Eagles -5.5 alternate spread (+106)
The Eagles’ victories during their current surge have come by an average of 16.4 points per game. No matter that the competition level has been unspectacular; there are no free wins in the NFL and it is especially difficult to produce blowouts – at least on a consistent basis. Head coach Nick Sirianni’s squad is (not necessarily thanks to him) firing on all cylinders at the moment. It is doing it with a sustainable method, too: running the football effectively and playing stout defense. The Commanders are a formidable foe, but their loss last week was a tough one and it also left them banged up. Running back Brian Robinson Jr. is questionable for Thursday along with 3 offensive linemen. Give me Philadelphia to take care of business in front of the home crowd and win by a touchdown or more.
DeVonta Smith to score a touchdown (+220)
At +220 (considerably higher than A.J. Brown at +125, for example) Smith has great value to find the endzone on Thursday. He has scored 4 touchdowns in his last 8 games, including 2 in the last 3. In his most recent matchup with the Commanders (October 29 of last season), Brown caught 7 of 7 targets for 99 yards and a score. Washington has allowed 17 TDs through the air so far this year, tied for the sixth most in football.
Saquon Barkley to record 100+ rushing yards (+116)
Barkley has been doing it all for the Eagles in his first season with the, including jumping over guys backwards. The Penn State product should be in line for another big performance on Thursday Night Football. He has amassed more than 100 yards in 3 of the last 4 contests and 5 times in total during this 2024 campaign. Barkley has gained at least 159 yards on the ground in 2 of the last 4 outings. He now faces a Washington defense that allows the fifth-most rushing yards and the fifth-fewest passing yards. The Commanders’ 4.9 yards per carry allowed average is the fourth worst in the league. Expect Barkley to have the green light early and often in this one.
