Over the last couple of years, one of the biggest decisions when it comes to playing on the PGA Tour or on the LIV Golf Circuit has been the participation in major tournaments, like the Masters.
That’s especially for those who are not already qualified. There are less opportunities LIV Golf players have as a result of fewer chances to earn world golf ranking points, which is one of the many qualifications to play in the Masters. However, there are other ways to play in the first major of the calendar year, including winning the event.

There are others who qualify under the first 12 players, including ties, in the previous Masters Tournament.
Winning another major tournament – U.S. Open, The Open Championship or the PGA Championship – also guarantees a spot, which gives DeChambeau a tee time at one of biggest events of the year.
Speaking of the other three majors, if a player consists of the first four players and ties at either of three major tournaments, they earn a spot at Augusta.

The Masters Committee also has the discretion to invite international players not otherwise exempt, which Niemann received his entry.
