The Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers meet Wednesday in NBA action at the Moda Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Los Angeles Clippers vs Portland Trail Blazers prediction.
Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last five games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting thrashed by the Hawks in a 110-93 loss on Sunday. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 28 piints on eight of 17 shooting while Paul George added 26 points, six rebounds and four steals, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Clippers shot just 37 percent from the field and 11 of 36 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start, scoring just 15 points in the second quarter, before they got blown away by 27-18 in the third quarter to trail by as many as 29 points in one of their worst losses of the season. The Clippers will face the 76ers after this b2b against the Trail Blazers.
Portland Trail Blazers
Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers have been in poor form as they’ve lost seven of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to snap a three-game slide after falling just short to the Bulls in a 110-107 road defeat on Monday. Anfernee Simons led the team with 30 points and nine assists, Deandre Ayton added 25 points with 15 rebounds and two blocks while Scoot Henderson and Duop Reath each scored 14 points. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 45 percent from the field and eight of 28 from the 3-point line as they showed plenty of fight to erase a 16-point lead in the fourth quarter, only to go ice-cold and score just two points in the final 2:34 to fall painfully short in the end.

Clippers vs Trail Blazers prediction
The Clippers are shorthanded again with Russell Westbrook still out and Norman Powell listed as questionable, while the Trail Blazers will again be missing Malcom Brogdon, Shaedon Sharpe and Jerami Grant. The Clippers haven’t been anywhere near their best lately as they’ve been hit by a couple of key injuries, but they are heavy favorites here against this Trail Blazers squad who are still missing their entire starting lineup. The Clippers looked terrible in their last loss, but they haven’t played since Sunday, so I’m expecting them to come out swinging and bounce back with a much-needed win and cover on the road.
