Dodgers Crush Lefties
While Patrick Sandoval hasn’t been awful for the Angels, things aren’t looking good heading into tonight’s game against the Dodgers.
Sandoval has allowed a .198 ISO and wOBA of .364 to his last 115 batters. Meanwhile, he’ll face a Dodgers lineup that has hit a .300 ISO and wOBA of .407 against lefties in the last 30 days.
Only Shohei Ohtani has struggled against lefties over the last 30 days in this projected lineup. It’s insanity.
The Angels’ Offense Isn’t The Same
Meanwhile, the Angels have hit a .119 ISO and wOBA of .274 against righties in the last month. This offense just doesn’t compare to the Dodgers. The Angels have struck out 22.6% of the time against righties and have walked below 9% in the last 30 days.
They’ll take on Landon Knack of the Dodgers, who has held teams to a .279 wOBA in 83 plate appearances. He doesn’t have a large sample size and hasn’t even pitched in the last month in the MLB. But he’s got much better matchups than Sandoval and the Angels.
