The AI Model has been cooking in the playoffs, so we’ll keep riding our NBA computer picks. Here is one of our favorite predictions for Monday’s games.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have a chance to close out the four-game series against the Pelicans with a win on the road. The Thunder are currently up 3-0 on the series and are currently projected to win 114-108 against the Pelicans in Game 4.

That said, the top betting sites posted NBA odds with the Thunder at -4.5, which wouldn’t be enough to help the Pelicans win against the spread. Let’s go ahead and break down this matchup.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Monday, April 29, 2024 – 08:30 PM ET at Smoothie King Center

The Pelicans Are Ready to Go on Vacations

The New Orleans Pelicans fought to the buzzer against the Thunder in Game 1 of the series, losing 94-92. But since then, they’ve looked gassed, losing two consecutive games by double-digits.

The Pelicans haven’t scored more than 92 points in any game of the series, with Zion Williamson on the sideline with an injury. While the Williamson injury hurts, the Thunder have been tremendous defensively, holding teams to no more than 103.6 points per 100 possessions in seven consecutive games.

Without Williamson and going up against a top-tier defense, it’s not looking good heading into Game 4.

The Thunder Are Young And Dumb

The Thunder don’t have the most experience. However, that just makes them super naive about being in the playoffs. They don’t know any better. The pressure isn’t getting to them because of that!

Oklahoma City has added at least 106 points in two straight games, but as long as they can score 100+, they’ll easily escape a Pelicans squad that has just really struggled offensively throughout this series.

NBA Computer Pick

The Pelicans are ready to go home. So, let’s ride the Thunder at -4.5. I’m with the AI Model.
