Paul Otieno has 10.6 PPG with 6.6 RPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Quinnipiac up to this point in the year. Savion Lewis also has 8 PPG with a team-high 7.2 APG to lead the Bobcats in the assist department this season. The Saint Peter’s Peacocks come into this game fresh off of a 50-48 win over Rider last time out. Corey Washington leads the Peacocks in scoring and rebounding with 16.3 PPG along with 6.4 RPG while Latrell Reid has 11.3 PPG with 4.5 RPG and a team-high 4.6 APG as the only other double-digit scorer for Saint Peter’s while leading the Peacocks in assists this season. Michael Houge has 8.5 PPG with 5.7 RPG as well this season. As a team, Saint Peter’s is averaging 65.4 PPG on 39.4% shooting from the field, 32.6% from three and 71.7% from the foul line this season.
Quinnipiac vs. Saint Peter’s Prediction
I’m on Quinnipiac here. I think the Peacocks are a solid team and they’ve been to the NCAA tournament so they know the pressures of these high-stakes matchups. However, the Bobcats have been the class of the MAAC for much of the season and they got a day of rest in between their last game and this one, the benefit of being the top-seeded team in the tournament. I’ll back the Bobcats in this one.
